Julian’s passions are in placemaking, humane architecture and communicating design to the general public. Amongst a broad range of skills, he has recognised expertise in masterplanning, workplace, transportation and sustainability. His seminal projects include JLR Global HQ in Warwickshire, strategic urban design commissions in Manchester and a series of projects in Greece and India. Julian leads the practice’s ‘People’ group and, whilst based in London, also oversees the Manchester studio that he established. He is an acknowledged public speaker with regular engagements in the UK and abroad.

Outside of work, Julian is a dedicated ParkRun-er and has spearheaded community projects connected to education and youth sport.
